Lisha Lopez-Sernas

Lisha is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. Drawing on her indigenous Zapotec heritage, she focuses on the intersection of cultural heritage, indigenous rights, and globalisation. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in International and Comparative Politics, International Law, and Global Communications from the American University of Paris.
Her master’s research explores environmental scarcities and their role in conflict within mezcal-producing communities, highlighting the commodification of culture and its impact on indigenous cultural preservation. Her broader academic interests include human rights, geopolitics, and the strategic use of culture as soft power in international relations.
Beyond her studies, Lisha enjoys attending museums and art exhibitions, hosting sip and paints, and travelling with friends.
