Toutes les sociétés doivent faire face à des questions d'inégalité et d'injustice, et celles-ci s'appliquent souvent aux questions d'identité et de migration, ainsi qu'à l'accès aux ressources et aux opportunités. Il incombe aux gouvernements, aux ONG, aux systèmes éducatifs et, surtout, aux individus de mettre en évidence et de combattre ces inégalités, afin que la société soit plus inclusive et que les opportunités soient partagées. Pour promouvoir ce travail essentiel, l'IDRN remet en question les hypothèses existantes sur l'identité et explore des solutions aux principaux problèmes auxquels sont confrontés les individus, en particulier dans les domaines de la justice, de l'éducation et de la migration.
